Does anyone know what model zook this is.

Sorry I don't know how to make it clicky. If this is factory I was wondering about that front grill, I like the look of it and the rear cage set up. Any one have actual pics of this type or info on it. Thanks

Re: what model zook is this

That is probably a Sierra or an SJ413 from outside the states. Keep in mind the Sami is still sold world wide.
Its only in North Nmerica that they stopped marketing it due to the CR BS

That front grill doesn't look compatible with the US model sammy, or is it? Will you have to replace the entire front end to do so.

Re: what model zook is this

That's the 1996-1999 Samurai/Sierra/Santana/Jimny, the last of the styling revisions before they dropped the Samurai completely and went with the new Jimny.

If Suzuki hadn't discontinued the Samurai in the U.S. in 1995 (1994 in California) due to dwindling sales and the government's requirement to meet ever-more-strict emissions and crash-safety standards, then that is what the 1996 Samurai would have looked like.

That updated body style was produced in both the Japanese and Spanish factories, but while the Spanish Santana factory continued with the leaf-sprung chassis, the Japanese factory switched to a coil sprung setup.

I have looked at in detail and driven one of the Santana-built Samurais while in Tahiti, and I was sad to see that we are not able to update our front clip with that new grille without significant body work. The shape of the fenders and grille surround was changed. Also, the rear bumper is different. Also of note is the attractive, sporty-looking dashboard.

I hope this helps!

Re: what model zook is this

We got that model here in New Zealand as the 95 -96 model. I saw one recently for sale with rockcrawler gears, Ramsey winch, 31'tyres and factory coil suspension !. The guy wanted NZ$10,000 which is cheap considering a standard model still go's for $8-10000 ! Unfortunately for me I've been throwing to much $$ at mine and have to wait for another one to come up ! If there's some one willing to load a photo of it I'll send it them as I'm not confident enought !!

all spelling errors were created with word 2000

Cheers Shane

Re: what model zook is this

If I could go out and buy a new one today, I would. With the updates (especially the coils) I'd use it as my daily driver and the current one as the off roader.

I think I'd even want it in that color green.

Re: what model zook is this

Just think if you brought every zook you'd ever liked you'd have no room left to park them if you are like me .These are not as common over here as the leaf spring model and this is the first one I've seen as a serious 4x4 most are used to go get grocerys in . Make one wonder doesn't it ??
