Whew what a rough week..thanks Isabel!

What a rough week! This is a pic of the front yard at about 4pm Thursday. Yes that is a mailbox with about 2 1/2 feet of water rising up under it covering the road. Silver Samurai in the pic is for sale! ...no water damage..LOL!

Later that evening the waters still had not gone down and the 65-85mph winds had not yet died down.

Look closely at the center of the pic past the mailbox and you can barely see an old Cutlass covered up to the bottom of the windshield in flood water. Believe it or not the owner put it up on a set of concrete blocks and jack stands to prevent it getting damaged, but it didn't seem to help.

All the Samurai's in the yard faired well....even JerseyZuk's and Sami Davis's Zuk. We have ALOT of toppled trees, branches everywhere, power lines laying all over the roads, etc. We are working on cleaning up and the Power company is working as fast as they can to restore the power around here. we just got power this evening for the first time in 2 1/2 days....that really sucked. Boy was it nice to have a hot shower.
Goodnight, I am tired!

Basement??? I live near Virginia Beach and we are only about 15 feet above sea level. No basements around here...that's one reason why I had to build such a big garage!
