I\'m still alive, but not at Zookin.....

Well after a brutal week of thing going wrong, last night a 8 pm it was clear I wasn't making it. My bro and I just could not figure out what was wrong with the FI on the 1.6 I installed. I am/was truly disappointed and pissed at myself at the same time. It all started with my 1.3 being really sick and decided it would be time to put in the 1.6. BAD MOVE! but in hindsight I really think the 1.3 would have died this weekend anyway..the swap should have been easy but EVERYTHING that could go wrong DID!

So instead of being with the crew I sit here bummed out........Oh well the good news is, there is always next year..

Glenn L wiill send you a check for the food on Monday as I promised I would pay you for my share, and I will....

So....

Re: I\'m still alive, but not at Zookin.....

Danny,

You are in good company. I too couldn't make Zookin' as well as the Melt for a variety of reasons. The bottom line is that maybe I wasn't supposed to be at these events this year.

There is always next year........

However true that is, the fact remains that I miss so many of my Zookin' brothers and sisters. I so look forward to catching up with them and when that doesn't transpire, I'm bummed out.....

Re: I\'m still alive, but not at Zookin.....

Oh yes, it is so, Crow.

All parties are relatively unharmed. I think the report was a banged up shoulder and a mild concussion, but I'm no doctor. I can't tell you who it was, I will save the bragging rights and stories for sharing by the parties involved.

If there is good news related to it..it is that its all on video. You can bet your bippy that little clip is going to get posted ASAP. I hope to try and get a hold of the video before the person who made it goes back to Maine.

The rest of Zookin is tame by comparison, so far. A bit of the usual axle and Tcase carnage here and there and another couple rolls. $250 raised in the raffle for the families of servicemen killed in the war on terror. People dug around and came up with some cool stuff to fill out the raffle since there were no vendor prizes this year. There was a pair of 5:12 diffs, a tonneau cover, some pumpkin caps, door panels, lots of shirts and hats, a set of 4 die cast samurai toys, poly Tcase mounts, etc.

More trail rides tomorrow and I'm sure there will be plenty of pics and video.

I'm not gonna sugar coat this.

YOU ARE A MAJOR DUMB ASSSS!!! What were you thinking? Yeah, the 1.3 might have been a turd, but trowing a rod at Zookin and flat towing the mess home sounds like a lot more fun than haning the weekend in the great white north.

I really miss hanging with you, Bud. The fire wasn't the same, and I had to use a marker to draw "XXX" on my bottle of Mike's hard lemonade. YOU HEAR THIS?!?! I had to drink Mike's!

Well, only one way you can get back into the good graces, you MUST attend both 'Gon Zookin' 2004 and Zookin' Y2K4 next year.

Put it in the calender, and do not attempt ANY modifications during the month of either event.

Got it?
