Let there be light!

Got tired of hunting around in the dark in the back because of the tiny little "dome" light in the tintop...a trip to the local recycled auto parts salvage facility and now I've got 3 tiny little dome lights!

Re: Let there be light!

all you need to do now is hook them up to a clapper.

Re: Let there be light!

When I had my tintop I also noted the lack of interior lighting.

My solution? I went to Wally World and bought a yellow 12V rope light for 7.99 and attached it to the roof all the way around inside. it ended right at the sun visors on both sides. I wired it into the stock interior light switch.

It lit up the inside real good except I felt like I was driving around inside a popcorn machine.

Re: Let there be light!

My solution is a flood work lamp mounted inside the rear door. It swivels and I can point it out through the window to aid in exiting a bad spot at night. When facing forwards it lights up the inside like daylight. Also with the rear door open it is a great worklamp for helping others or for setting up camp (etc.) in the dark (of course, wouldn't need it during the day, duh!).

Re: Let there be light!

Kinda like this? I used 55w reverse lights for my supplemental interior lighting.....

Attached is a pic of the cargo light at night..... I have another one up front for the passenger bay.... Can you say french fry/freedom fry?
