Gas Milage....Sidekick Sport
Ok...we got a 97 Sidekick sport that all of a sudden recently gets horrible gas milage. will use a 1/4 tank in 50 miles.
Seems to me like maybe a cat might be pluged or a bad o2 sensor, egr valve?. anyone know how to pull the codes off the computer without a reader?
Re: Gas Milage....Sidekick Sport
'97 should be OBDII and requires a scanner. On the good side, most auto parts chain stores have them you can borrow and use in the parking lot. Advanced Auto and Autozone definately have them. Or you can buy a reader off the net, start about $80 for one that reads the codes and can reset the computer.
