Seats, comfort and all that.

I'm sharing...

I was in Moab week before last and we were on the trail for four days straight, five to ten hour days. Before we left I was able to get a pair of those PRP seats that Roadless Gear sells. I don't usually spend that much money on something when I can find something similar cheaper, but the older I get, the more important comfort is.

Anyway, I bought them and at the end of the week, my back didn't hurt. My back hurts in every seat in every vehicle I've had if I sit in it for more that a few hours. Of course, everyone is built a little different, so seats will feel different to different people but these worked so well for me, I had to say something. Oh, and my wife really liked them too.

howdy,
i know the feeling, not on age, but as a larger built man i needed some extra support and some good feeling. i used 1990 mustang gt seats, and they a 3" wider and have a lumbar support that is adjustable.

thanks for the heads up. good seats in samurai's are in my opinion a high priority! I probably would have considered them if I had known they existed before I slapped in a set of geo storm seats. I'm guessin' they have good lower lumbar support?

Re: Seats, comfort and all that.

Indeed, it's the lack of Lumbar support that gets me usually. If the lack of support doesn't downright hurt, I end up very stiff. So these do well with the lumbar support. The top of the seat rakes back more than I thought it would and, quite honestly I thought I would really dislike that aspect of it, but I really didn't even notice it and, that might be part of what makes it comfy for the lower back.
