zuk flange instead of drum brake?

i'm going to install hydraulic e-brake, so i want to remove the stock drum in the rear of my 1982'sj410 tcase.
can i replace it with an old style (pre-88) or new style (post-88) flange?
(and have enough place to install my toy driveshaft?)

Re: zuk flange instead of drum brake?

I believe the output shaft is too small for the Samurai flanges on the '82.
