Transfer case mounts: is strength THAt important??

OK, so the subject is a little misleading
I've got a NP241 case mated directly to a manual tranny, with my 4.3L. Now, I can understand that a divorced case needs a really strong mount (especially when it's geared or HP increases) because it's hanging in mid-air but how about for a mated t-case? This case mounts with six points to a rear tranny flange that is about 1/2 to 3/4" thick. Basically, I can't see there ever being a way that this case can come undone from the tranny.
Now, of course I will have a cross member made up so that the t-case isn't hanging by the flange (even though the tranny mount is as far back on the tranny as it can be) but do I need to really worry about building some bad-ass t-case mounting system? Just need some input

Cheers,
Steve

I agree with rockrat, most chevied up jeeps running around will build a solid crossmember, bolt there tranny to it and let the transfer case hang out the back...

Sweet! That makes life MUCH easier I was a little worried about the space under there and trying to fit in a crossmember for the case. Looks like I can scrap that idea! LOL Thanks for the help guys

Cheers,
