What axles should I go with?

So now I have the rotary bug....

Im gonna do a motor swap in my rig soon...thatll get me up round 105 HP...I have a grs1 in the case now and 4.62 (?) tracker bears in the diffs...

My worry now is Are the axles I have gonna stand up to that much power and my heavy ass foot...

If not (Which I am sure not), then what would you guys reccomend to beef up with...

Anyone got any for sale already locked, geared, and spoa??

Re: What axles should I go with?

I would have to say yoters honestly, get a rear landcruiser axle and front pickup with matching 4.11's in each and you would be set, I have seen many a local toyota pickup with chevy v8's on 40's and the axles hold up very well...IMO there a very stout and reliable axle given you dont car about close knuckle axles...If you want a open knuckle axle go with some waggies...

Re: What axles should I go with?

I second the Yota vote. I got lucky and picked up a set out of an 85 4runner that rolled. They had 5.29's, rear disc, and both were locked . I sold my 456 geared and locked diffs for the same price that I bought the loaded Yota axles. They are by FAR a lot easier to put under your Zuk than Dana's also. It can be done in a day. I used the 4 runner rear centered axle, and the front shaft on the rear of my Zuk and I have NO NONE ZERO vibes.
This swap is money well spent.

Re: What axles should I go with?

I'm thinking about doing a V-8 swap into my FJ40 and I'm gonna use a Dana 44 front and a Ford 9Inch rear in the FJ.
So, why wouldn't I want to use my front FJ40 axel under my sami? (I haven't really looked at the FJ axels closely, only had it a few months) And what other Toy axel would match up to a rear out of a 77 FJ?
