Check Engine Light

My Sammy just hit 110,000 miles and the check engine light came on, is this normal and how do you reset it?

Re: Check Engine Light

There is a small black switch mounted up on the steering column in the area of the ignition switch. You just flip the switch to the other position and that will take care of the engine light.

Re: Check Engine Light

Mine is an 88 if that makes a difference, there was no little switch on the steering column anywhere.

Re: Check Engine Light

the switch is on the tube that your steering mounts to ,to the right side it is only about .5x1.0 in.it is real cheesey switch, looks like it came off a 1960 power tool.it is hard to see,but it is there, just flip it the other direction.keep looking you will find it. the switch is behind the ing. switch under the dash. mike
