33\'s? Gears? Axles?

Guys,
#1).Is it safe to run 33's on 10"rims with stock axles?
I do 99% of my wheeling in low range and take it very very slow. I do some major rock crawling. But I'm not the kind to hammer my stuff unless absolutely nesseccary
#2). I currently have stock gears and 31's it's way to tall geared for me already. If I do end up putting on 33's. What's the best way (not nesseccarily the cheapest) to achieve a super low gear ratio. If I go with petroworks GRSII transfer case do I still need to re-gear the diffs. I want it super low like 4 to 1.
Any input would be thankful.
Thanks,
G.

33's work fine on stock axles. Just know when to say when. Many of our customers are running 33's with no trouble.

The perfect setup for 33" tires is a 4.16 tcase gearset combined with 4.62 axle gears. This puts you back to dead on for the highway and makes a great crawler for offroad. Your speedo will be spot on with that setup. You will have to get axle gears with 33" tires so you might as well save some money on the tcase gears and put some extra toward the diffs. Go with the less expensive 4.16 gears.

Glenn,
Ok next question, I installed a power trax 1510 locker already. Can I keep that in there and add one more to the front while I'm at it?
If so what am I looking at price wise from you? Just parts.

You can still run lockers in the diffs with modified gearsets with no trouble. it would make sense to install a locker at the same time as gears since you'll have everything apart anyway.

I don't know about quoting prices on the Bulletin Board. But our website has everything up if you want to cheack out what we do have.

Well Glen doesn't carry the low T/C gears anymore (???) So I had to go with Petroworks. (So much for saving on taxes in Ca.) I got the GRSII. It works great with 33's. Just my opinion.
