Redbird S.R.P.(Updated with some pics!!!)

Anyone going for opening day this Saturday. I do know there will be 2 Sammies and a Jeep from the Bedford group there. We will be pulling in around 9:30am. Just curious.

Re: Redbird S.R.P.

I'll be there, although I don't know if I'll have my Cherokee ready to go by then. I might just help out with the festivities and hitch a ride in the afternoon.

Cherokee status - Past 2 nights, got the head back on, rockers all put in, new motor mounts in, intake/exhaust back on. Still have to put the fuel system back together, all the accessories, new radiator, new p/s hoses, new at cooler & hoses. Have tonight and all day tomorrow. It'll be tight but I think I can make it.

Re: Redbird S.R.P.

Wish I could go...(I'm starting to sound like Bob), but I have my daughter this weekend.
Let me know how it is though, maybe we can all meet up for a weekend down there sometime before the melt.

I cant wait for the pictures of the baby and wife. You are not going to believe how much fun Grumpy had dragging his Balls thru the slop at Red Bird. It would make a neat TIDE commercial. RR

Re: Redbird S.R.P.

Grumpy, you cleaned her up for the photo-To those that were not there-she had about 1 square foot on her back that was not covered with mud and slop. I have to give it to Grumpy, his family loves the mud more than he does.I hope you can figure out how to put the video on here, it is a must see. I did have a good time-Cole was a great driver and great young man. Best Regards RR

Re: Redbird S.R.P.

Well, I got the engine put back together and running by 10pm on Friday (including a last minute run to Autozone for heater hose 10 minutes before they closed.)

Then on Saturday morning I was finishing up the last of the details, was fixing a small oil leak, and the GD starter [email protected] out. So I ended up having to go get another one and install it. By the time I had everything buttoned back up and running well it was 1:30. So, it really wasn't worth trying to get down there.

Planning on making a run down there either the 21st or 28th. Will let you guys know so you can join me if you're so inclined.
