Extreme Shaking in my wheel????

I just got lots of work done on the ride and I also installed a set of unbalanced 33's on her. While driveing her down the road she shakes really really really bad. I am not sure on were to check. I am running a breeze cross over, with power steering, spidertrax panhard bar and that is about it. Should I be running a steering stabalizer I dont know. What do you guys suggest I look for. By the way I just rebuilt the whole front asembly, unless I messed something up in the rebuild I am clueless. Let me know what you think. TOM

Unbalanced tires will shake really really bad, HUGE difference.
At what speed(s) is the zook vibrating?

Right around the 20 to 30 mph mark she vibes, then they go away. I dont know. Ever since I did all the mods to her she might just become a trail veihicle. Dont know. But I have to say I love driving it on the street and watching all the J$^&% look at it and say what the hell is that. Just kidding. Let me know what else you guys think. TOM

Re: Extreme Shaking in my wheel????

I use to run 3" springs, 2" body and 32" bfg mt's.

I had the same vibes at the same speeds. Vibes so bad the whole rig would bounce all over the shop and be very frightening to drive.

A GOOD balance and alignment fixed the majority of my issues. King Pin bearings had a bit of play in them also. Once I replaced them it was good.

Seeing as though you just rebuilt your front end, why not fork out a couple of bucks for a balance and alignment?

If it is a wheel balance issue, everytime you double the speed you have a vibration at, it will happen again .. say if it vibes bad at 25 it'll vibe bad again at 50 100(HA) 200(BWAHAHAHA) .. you get the idea

Re: Extreme Shaking in my wheel????

I would think alignment over the wheel balancing because you said it is extreme. I say this because it is a speed related problem. Usually an unbalanced tire can be felt easily the effect may be more dramatic because of the off-aligned frontend... did you check all of your steering connections?
