Diesel engines why not peugeot ??

Why not go for a Peugeot diesel engine ?? The new Samurai 1.9TD comes with this peugeot engine has the Sidekick which comes with it for years. It comes with the tranny of the sj413, suzuki just picked up the engine from the sidekick built the adapter plate and added a 1" Sackles, and there it is.
I know this new Suzuki samurai 1.9Td (power steering) isn't sold in America but you guys must have the this peugeot engine in peugeot cars or others that come with it ... and you can always order parts at your local suzuki dealer.
Isn't this peugeot engine sold in America ?
Is it to expensive ? or you never tought of it ????
Any comments, ideas ????

The Peugeot vehicle is not very abundant in the US-- gasoline nor diesel. That is probably why you haven't heard it brought up.

You know, you can order a factory Toyota turbodiesel here in America. It wasn't sold here originally. So would it stand to reason that you could order one of those brand-new 1.9L turbodiesels that comes in the new Samurai over there?

I agree with Tim, the Peugot's just are not around like a mustang or something. You may be able to order one from suzuki come to think of it. I don't think I could afford one. I have troubles keeping the one running I have. Constantly wanting to tear it down for something better.... Tim, did you get my emils this weekend? Got the carb working pretty good. Going to make a second input adapter this evening. This time I promise I will make some video...
