Will it hurt anything to sandblast wheels?

This is probably a stupid question, but will it do any damage if I have my wheels sandblasted? My chrome wheels just don't look quite right on a Zuk and I found a place here locally that will sandblast and spray all four wheels for $35 bucks. I just wondered if blasting them would warp or weaken them any.

Nope, won't hurt a thing , although I'd take them off the truck first....

between this and the fire you are on a comic roll Sarge ! While you are having them sanblasted have the rims done onthe inside too . I find a lot of times the rims are rusty as heck inside and I have even had a few rust through !

Get them powder coated instead of paint. If you go through the trouble of having them blasted might as well do something nice. I know from experince paint chips bad. I did a set in white and love them...just my $.02
