How much does it cost to repair the rear brakes?

Hello, I am wondering. How much is it to fix the rear brakes. I know that I need my brake shoes replaced and resurface it. How much should it cost? I know that shops sometimes charge really high and others are really low. Thank you for your reply

I've been in the brake and tire business for over 11 years. You should get rear shoes, resurfaced drums, adjustment and system bleed. That's if your drums are still at a turnable thickness. And that the wheel cylinders aren't failing or close to failing. Some shops run specials like "Brake Job Just 59.95 parts"
That usually includes the above. The parts you can pick up at any parts outlet for 20 to 30 bucks or less. Do the math from there. Mu suggestion to you is to ask some one you trust. Referals are the best way to find a good, non-gouging shop. From there have the shop give you a written estimate (it's the law).
