Fan Clutch Ques.

Hello All-- here is an easy one:
I have a thermostatic fan clutch from a Samurai among my loose parts. How can I test it to see if it's worth hanging onto?

Regards,
Tim J

Re: Fan Clutch Ques.

Mount it in a car and see if engine overheats. Really if it came out of a high milage donner it doesn't have much life left. You can bolt it to somthing and see if its bearings are tight. Set it in a 200 degree oven and check if it locks up. This might not be good for later food use of the oven. Actual in use check is looking good to me.
