Need advise from a Samurai guru

I am hooking up air conditioning on a 1994 Samurai that has a power steering conversion done on it. I do not know the details of the other conversion but the first thing I notice is that the ALL of the engine pully's (crank, alt, power steering etc.) use a serpinteen(spelling?)belt. Or a flat, wide belt. The Air conditioning compressor(which has a regular pully on it) was on this motor originally, when they installed the power steering they just tied the A/C compressor out of the way without unhooking the hosses. My question is, Does this year Samurai come with serpinteen belts or is this a conversion. I need to find a regular pully so I can add it to the crank pully to drive the A/C compressor. Or is there such thing as a double pully already?????????Please help!!!!!!

Re: Need advise from a Samurai guru

My 95 Sam has a stock 1.3, V-belt drive. So i'd have to say that the serp belt is a conversion. I know there is a 'double pully' out there also, for use with a/c cause mine also has the pully. I don't have any spare double pullys, but do have spare single pully you could weld on your exsisting serp pully, also have spare serp pully for 1.6 that with a little drilling will bolt up to your 1.3.
hope this helps

Best Bet,,,the 1.6 double pully, it lines up, but you have to drill it just like "rockcrawler" said, Brent at trail tough does it all the time with those 1.6 swaps he does. The welded way would need balancing,,,,ouch.

Great ramp and Toy BTW John!
