1992 zuk computer-what else fits

Looking at a 92 sami with a computer that has been stolen. are the carb computers different from the FI ones and would it run with a carb computer. Probably not but thought I would ask. Next question is who has the right one and what is a reasonable price for it?

The carbed ECMs are NOT interchangeable. You'll need to find a Suzuki Samurai EFI ECM. They're as rare as hens' teeth. I know of one and the guy wants $250.00 for it. It's a guaranteed runner. I've sold some on ebay and gotten as much as $300.00 for them. If you want the one I know abour PM me and we can work out arrangements.

I"m not sure how someone could steal one out of a Sami without trashing the firewall. Everyone I've taken out had to be cut out.

I believe the 94-95 ECMs might be different. Have to check the part # to see.

Reason: I found out that I'm somewhat special, as my 94 has a centrifical advance disty, not vacuum advance. This may impact other things, like the ECM.

I have a '91 and have taken the ECM out several times.
Reach up behind the heater and remove 2 bolts, Go in from the glove box, remove the top bolt, unplug the 2 wire harnesses and it falls out in your hands, Less than 5 minutes if you have done it before.
Unfortunately, this makes it very easy to steal, which is a big problem where I live.

BTW, ECM's are available here (Costa Rica) all day long for about $100. The Samurai is very alive and well down here, with literally thousands on the road in a country about the size of Vermont.
