Painting

How many gallons of paint will I need to Paint My entire samurai. It is an 87 hardtop. I plan on Durabaking the entire truck in a few weeks but I am not sure about the amount of paint it will take.

Re: Painting

depends on the spay gun you use. my borthers got a high volume low pressuer gun with a top mount can. uses gravity to feed the spray. i can paint a complete half ton truck with 3 quarts including the inside of the bed. i always buy a whole gallon to do any vehicle. have extra for when i loan it out and the dam thing comes home wrecked. plus, i can put on multiple coats with out worrying about running out.
just my opinion

Re: Painting

I Do not plan on using a spray gun unless neccesary the durabak (paint on bed liner) rolls or brushes on. Figure by doing this will not have to worry about scratches.

Re: Painting

I sprayed my conv. Samuria about a year ago with a bed-liner type paint called (i think)Zolatone. I used about 3/4 gallon to give it a three coats. It turned out great.
