EASY (urgent) Radio question

I was offered a stock radio faceplate for a '87, and I have to make a decision if I want it or not by tonight (going to someone else if not). I need to know what that looks like though. The one in my samurai is all cut up. Does the stock one have a rectangle in the middle, with two holes on each side for a two-pin style radio? If so that is what I need. Please help

Oh yeah, one more question: my sam came without a radio, and I found the power for it, but there is another wire that confuses me. It is half of a regular speaker wire that goes from the fuse box and ends up where the radio goes. The end of it actually goes into the fuse box, and is plugged in with the fuse for the radio (like actually with the fuse). Anyone know the purpose here? Can I just rip that out or what??????

Thanks guys,

'87 JX, hasn't moved for months, radio sitting on floor

Re: EASY (urgent) Radio question

the 87 came with a platic box that slides into the some grooves under the dash it had a snap on faceplate with the opening that you could cut out depnding on the radio and it had the two holes for the older style radios (the plastic box enclosed the radio) Rudy at Petroworks had the stock unit available for around $20 good luck, ZUKFRK
