JUST GOT FIRST 4x4(a zuk)!!!

sorry about the caps, little excited. i just got a 88 samuari for off road use. I took it out by my house for a quick test I have a couple questions...
1, why the #$#[email protected]$ is my steering so loose, there is about 9 inches of play, is there any way to fix this?

2. What the best way to fix rust?

3. I am making a snorkel, what is the best way to keep the carb from getting water(i have an open-element filter on it right now)

4. Who makes roll cages, and where can i get them?

i look forward to my new toy, hopefully i will have a web page up shortly with some pics, TIA

Every Samurai I purchased needed the steering box adjusted but the steering on
mine wasn't as loose as you described. You'd best check everything in the steering system.Get yourself a factory shop manuel(not a Chilton or a Haynes),
they're well worth the money.
Rocky Road Outfitters and Petroworks has roll cages but they're not cheap.

(That's what I was told my Samurai resembles)
