power steering install

hey guys- i am getting ready to install a power steering kit on my 1.3l 86 sammurai. i got the bracket and pulley kit from trail tough. all i have to do now is get the box and pump. is there anything special about the box and pump that i need? is it just a side kick setup or what. what else do i need to know before i tackel the project. thanks for any input

Just be aware that there is an early PS and a late PS Kick system. Pumps are not interchangeable and I believe the boxes are a bit different as well. Just something to be aware of. I don't know the year the change was made........

I don't know which is better, but if you stay with the latter years the PS unit will probably have less wear.
If you do, make sure the pulley on the pump is true. If it's not, the pulley can't be replaced requiring the entire pump to be replaced..... Just some things to keep in mind..
