Finally finished the install of my 1.6 and thought I'd share a few pictures.
The engine came out of a 92 Tracker with 62k miles. I used Trail Tough's kit which is very nice BTW. I'm running Calmini's header with a hi-flow cat and 2" exhaust which really helped open things up. While I was at it I also threw in a Petroworks 3 row radiator to help keep things cool. The best part though, is the Weber and intake set-up by Sarge. He flowed the 1.3 intake then mounted the Weber 180* then adjusted the floats and added his magic little vent thingy. I can't get this thing to stall whatsoever. Uphill, side-to-side, no problem. I did manage to kill the engine once going down a really steep hill but I had my regulator set at 3.5psi. Big thanks to ya Sarge
The 1.6 definately has more power than my stock 1.3 ever had. Its no V8 but its way better than my 1.3. Getting on interstate is a breeze now and I can accelerate from 60 to 85 mph in 5th gear no problem. Driving around town is so much more enjoyable now! I am very happy with the power but the only thing I regret is not adding a cam while I had the engine out. Oh well, gives me another project to look forward to!
Again, a BIG thanks to Sarge for all his help throughout the install as well as GA ZUKI for talking me into this "little" project and answering numerous questions along the way.
