Which exhaust manifold?

Yes, I have searched. I have '92 1.6 8v that I am installing in Samurai. Which exhaust manifold should I use? I notice that Tracker engine has two exit ports. Does it flow better? The posts I have read imply that piping has to be modified with Samurai manifold. Is that true?

Re: Which exhaust manifold?

Well no responses. Somebody must have thought of this when doing conversion. A lot of posts talk of limited benefits from headers, so they must have went with stock manifold, but which one?

Re: Which exhaust manifold?

I just did the 1.6 swap and at first I just ran the 1.3 manifold with the stock exhaust while I was waiting for my header. I ran it like this, header and stock 1.5" exhaust, for about two weeks and I could really tell a difference especially in the high rpms. I finally got the 2" exhaust w/ turbo muffler on last weekend and I can't say I could feel much of a difference over the header and 1.5" pipe except it sounds much cooler now.

If you have to use a stock manifold I'd say go with the 1.6

Re: Which exhaust manifold?

OK, who has used the 1.6 exhaust manifold? How does it fit in engine bay of Samurai?
