96 sidekick 16 valve

ive found low mileage 1.6 16 valve engine and want to put it into my samurai but i live in california and i want to know if i swap this motor if all the smog items will function when im done installing the motor [img]images/graemlins/40BEER.gif[/img]

You'll have to swap over to OBD1 (1991 to 1995) in order to run that motor without any error codes. I have an OBD2 engine with an OBD1 harness. It works fine. I don't know how you'll get it around the smog nazis out in Cali though...

Talk to Petroworks. They know and have what you need to get that motor legally into your Samurai.
