Hey, I installed my fuel filter, still wouldnt start. Then while looking around the carb, i noticed that the little rubber boot thing that goes from the air filter box to the metal carb intake thing wasnt completely on, there was about a 1/4 of an inch of open are going right in, put it on, still nothing. It then sat for about 5 hours until my dad got home and we checked all the plugs and wires and compresion and it started. I have no clue why but im thinking it wasnt because of anything we did. Anyways, i noticed on that last post that my cat could be bad? And it makes a knocking noise? About two months ago i began to hear a knocking noice coming from beneath me somewhere, i never was able to locate where it was coming from, but could it be my cats bad? If so would that really cause my car to sputter and die?

Re: Follow-up

A fully blocked exhaust system stops an engine.
Partly blocked exhaust cause poor engine operation
and can stall engine at low rpm depends on how
bad blockage is or rather back pressure developed
by blockage which is directly related to fuel air
intake of engine.
