Re: two footed carb

87-88 Sam stock 2 -barrel down draft Carb
Sam carb when operating correctly is very fine device when
operating as designed. Suk motor spent many years developing
this carb there is none better to found anywhere for vehicle.
This carb is only some what complex part on a Sam. It has multi
stage operation, ECM fuel/air ratio computer metering control
with a vac default over ride
See Suk motor manual operation is well defined.

Answer:
Flat operation you mention indicates ECM and carb plunger is
working to control correct fuel/air ratio lean and good.

Old standard carb operation action indicates ECM and carb
plunger is in up positon not working fuel/air ratio rich.

Rave:
Suk designers go far beyond others to built carb meet emissions
standards and yet still operate or revert to old type standard
carburation if ERG emissions system failed, all ECM computer
feedbacks failed. In fact you could rip out computer rip out and
carb tubing, direct wire fuel cut off valve and add vaccum advance
start Sam up and drive this thing away, try to do this on some
other late 80s or 90s car...not

Tip & history
Good tip here if want power and full economy all you have to do
make sure your Suk carb is work correctly. Got OSP warning slow
Suk down on way to Miami off road or pay. I only know one speed
70 and faster, flat out like a lizard, me dumb.
