front locker

well i ordered my front locker, it should be in today or tom. I have the front axel off and tore apart. All the bearings are good. just ahave to get the seal and felt wiper. I picked up a 8 inch pipe cap for a diff skid. and I will probably trust the axel while i have it out. Any of you have any good sugetions about installing the locker. I did a seach and got alot of good info. I will take some pics and post them when I start the install.

Re: front locker

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN before you put the diff back together (this includes cleaning out the bolt holes with brake parts cleaner!).
Use locktite (the super duper xl990000000 stuff on the ring gear bolts and the main bearing caps).
Torque everything to spec.
Mark EVERYTHING! Stuff on the left stays on the left, right, right, etc.
Your mission is to sneak that locker in and put everything back together EXACTLY as it was.
Change the side gear (thing that the axle shaft goes into) and side gear thrust washer (small washer on the side gear, prolly can't remove it anyways, held on by oil) to the other side (left to the right, right to the left). It's in the manual .
Don't forget to clean, mark, use locktite, and torque everything.
You'll be fine and love the locker!
