2.8 in a zook

ok,now here is the question, has anyone ever put a 2.8 in a zook?? if so how? i was thinking of a 4.3 but i think a 2.8 would be better due to size and weight also to be kinder towards the t-case and axles,so if anyone has done this or has other possable suggestions please help, for my little zook is starting to have problems on road and, with getting out of it's own way sometimes.
PS.it's an 88.5 with 5 inch lift,31's and a grs.2
thanks,pook

Re: 2.8 in a zook

Why a 2.8? Why not go with a 3.4L (not 4.3) out of a '93-'95 camero/firebird? It is the same engine as the 2.8, but has been stroked. You get 50-60 more HP from the 3.4 than the 2.8. The only difference is that the 2.8 is externally ballanced, and the 3.4 is internally ballanced (different flywheel).
