Spring swap

I have an 88 Samurai and the front seems to be sagging. Is it possible to interchange the front and back springs? I figure that hte back springs must be in great shape due to the lower weight.

Re: Spring swap

The rear spring is longer than the front spring. You would be looking at doing a missing link shackle mod or modifying the spring hangar or getting a longer shackle to fit the rear spring on the front. It will also move your front axle forward a little bit so you may need a driveline spacer, not sure though.
You wouldn't want to put the front springs in the rear though.
