Quick question, easy answer

We have suspicions of a bad ecm. Can any harm be done to my Samurai if we plug the suspected bad ecm into my samurai to see if it runs? If we plug my good ecm into the other Samurai, could any other malfunctioning parts on the other Samurai cause my ecm to go bad? Both are EFI.
Thanks, Im pretty sure no harm will be done, but it could be costly to replace, so Im just making sure.

Re: Quick question, easy answer

The (suspected) bad ecm won't hurt anything on your Zuke, but if you install the good ecm on the non-running Zuke, and there is a problem that caused the ecm to fail, then you may damage your good ecm. To be safe, I'd try option #1, that should tell you what you what you need to know.
