Front Axle woes...

Hey gang got a few ques before going any further. For the past few days I have been breaking down this front Toyota axle to replace all the seals and maybe bearings ( they all look clean tho). One of my problems, is removing the passenger side steering arm/ king pin, the other side I used a BFH and got it off piece of cake, this other side is kicking mr arse, ALso I plan to sand blast and clean everything but cant get the grease all out, are there any tricks yall have to cleanning it spick and span? Both side seals were toast so oil was all in the hubs and knuckles...

Re: Front Axle woes...

if u havent already started replacing seals try using some acetone to clean the oil out. But make sure its all evaporated before you start putting in your new seals. If not, i'm sure the acetone will eat them up.

Re: Front Axle woes...

Hit the arm with a torch around the studs and then shock the studs, then hit with a hammer...
