Loose wheel bearings or kingpins?

While checking air pressure today I pushed on the top of tire (front wheel) and noticed a bit of inward play. Both sides are the same, some noticeable play when pushing/pulling on the top of the front tires...something bad?? It's an 86 with 90K and sure doesn't look like it was run hard before I got it....figure it's gotta be either the wheel bearings need adjusted or the kingpings are loose...right?

Re: Loose wheel bearings or kingpins?

Set it on stands , have someone rock the tire back and forth and watch to see if the play is in the bearings or kingpins . Might be time for a full front end kit ....
