Re: new scrock bumper on

Just a note of interest . I found out recently that under Illinois IDOT rules bumpers are measured here at the highest point of the bottom . This basically puts designs like mine and yours in the dumpster , unless the truck is at stock height . As the ends taper up and out for tire clearance , that highest point at the bottom leading edge is where they will measure mine at , makes it at 31" , 9" over the limit of 23" for my plates . Bad part is , I can't even re-plate it higher since they are limited by gross weight , I'm in the lower bracket still unless I want to add another 3,000lbs to the Zuk . Still trying to figure a way out of it , might have to make a "road extension" to make them happy . I'd still rather have it the way it is , way better in a wreck than stock.... and I like you design a lot , btw....

Jim it's defintely one of yours, sorry for the mispelling. It is rock solid. Can't hardly wait to get my rear bumper from you. Yep, i'm going to keep the shiny side up for a while.... Jim it's probably to clean to put on your web site, but if you want to go ahead.....
