when 4-wheeling, most of the time you are at or above idle, if anything, wouldn't you want to assories to spin faster to keep the battery charged, the water pump pumping faster and the power steering pump to put out more pressure? How about a light weight overdrive unit?

Re: Zuki Performance Products

Answers to your questions on the underdriving. You would think that by speeding your accessories up it would improve their performance but this is not true. A car's water pump is not a precision pump by any means, by speeding it up it would end up cavitating and then you would get no pumping action at all and overheat your engine and it takes h.p. to pump the water at a faster rate. Your power steering pump has a pressure relief valve that is used when your engine speed produces a certain amount of pressure, the greatest being at idle when you car tires would be hard to turn, otherwise your wasting power. I do agree with the alternator somewhat if you have a extra lights, mega stereo equip and a winch I would not recommend underdriving the alternator. The theory is by slowing down your accessories a certain percentage you gain h.p..

Re: Zuki Performance Products

I don't know from personal experience, but there are other companies in the auto comunity that are making under drive pullys for vehicles, so there must be some truth in the logic, although, I agree with the alternator theory. My zuk runs one belt, how do we solve the dilema??? I just put on a ramsey #8000 winch. Now, what are we going to do. I was looking forward to the underdrive pulley. Is a 2 belt pully system feasable on the zuk??? Just a idea.
