Who has best diamond plate panels???

On another subject any opinions on the different folks selling aluminum diamond plate inserts for the interior.

The folks at aftermarket4X4 gave me a good offer. I priced some diamond plate locally and they wanted $125. for a 4x4 for a sheet of 1/8"

Re: Who has best diamond plate panels???

I have aftermarket 4x4 door panels and rear panels (hardtop) and they all look and fit great.

I also have Ben Burch's seat belt mech covers, front speaker covers and glovebox door. They are made out of thicker stuff. The glovebox door also came through for the earlier style dash, but I gave him the measurements for mine and Ben made it right. The screens on the speaker covers also press against the tweeters of my aftermarket coax speakers, but that could be fixed fairly easily.

I wouldn't hesitate to do business with either of them again. They both make nice stuff and are great to deal with.

Nice avatar Daxe! I see your bringing out the big guns!! LOL! Do you lift or is that all natural? I just got back into lifting about 2 months ago. I workout 4 days a week plus hit the speedbag and heavy bag between sets. I wonder if anyone else on the board is into lifting? Didn't mean to hijack this post.

Re: Who has best diamond plate panels???

its a combination of all the above. Im just naturally a thick person, but I also started doing heavy work when I was 11, carrying 100lb mailbags up and down stairs and lifting 100s of 45 lb cartons of magazines over and over again 3 hours a day after school and 8 hours a day in the summer. In the 80s I worked at a health club and had free use fo all the nautilus machines and free wieghts and I used them alot. I was also working construction at the time pushing a shovel, digging out the foundation for a building out of clay. (whew!!!)

Though I am certainly not a shriveled up prune of a person muscle-wise, it is freely augmented by loads of FAT. I weigh 315 lbs and I'm only 5'10 1/2", though mowst folks seem to guess about 260-270 when they look at me. I guess its not all fat. The bicep is real and the forearm muscles probably come from 27 years of guitar playing, plus I am a professional driver and that keeps your arms working all day. My legs look a little like that too (I used to be able to leg press 750 lbs without trying) ..its just the middle parts that are kinda..uhh..plush.

I want to get a multigym thing for my house to help stay in shape..I'm 43 years old and 25 years of world class beer drinking kinda wears on ya, but I think I may be abel to save some of it. I recently started up a hobby that gets me out and walking around in the woods every weekend with my family, so that might help drop a few tons, too.

And if I spent 16 hours every weekend doing wrenching like I did this last weekend, I'd probably look like Lou Ferrigno in about 6 months.

Re: Who has best diamond plate panels???

Yep I lift weights...Alot...For about 1 1/2-2 yrs, I am 17 now. I have been lifting non stop the whole time(never missed more than 1 week at a time). For a while I was going to tha gym for 2 hrs in the morning and 2-3 hrs after school and pretty much lifting hardcore the whole time (until muscular failure ). It is VERY addicting once you start to see results. I think it is one of the better things for kids to do tho.. It has kept me out of SO much trouble I don't even want to think about it. It also builds lots of self esteem and confidence.

Re: Who has best diamond plate panels???

yeah..you need to be careful to a certain extent. At 17 you are still growing and you could mess up some of that process by putting too much pressure in the wrong places. You might look great in the short term, but it's not worth fouling up your skeletal integrity for life. You should ask a physician what's reasonable to do as far as lifting and listen to them!
