Re: Roll Cage Tubing ??????

If it's your 1st time? If it is I'd say about 200ft. Buy a couple sticks and start bending. Do you hardest bends 1st as you can most likely use some of the mistakes as spreader/kicker/Door bars. If your tubing place is close to you, only buy 4 or 5 sticks and start from there.

Re: Roll Cage Tubing ??????

What Bill said as far as size depends on what your lookin to do 1-5/8" is as large as you can go and still remain using your factory targa, if you are hooking to the factory roll bar you can go up to 1-3/4" if you make a new rear hoop and lower it some so the tubes can pass by the targa bar. as far as wall .120 should do just fine.

AND TO BILL what you and were talkin about the other night on the BEND I got it Ill email the details later

Re: Roll Cage Tubing ??????

Remember that 1 1/2" is the largest tube dia. that will fit between the dash and doors on the front uprights if you want to place it between the dash and doors without having to modify or notch the dash and still keep the doors. This way also gives you a little more leg room. And .095 tubeing is plenty strong enough.

Re: Roll Cage Tubing ??????

Thats not quite right i have done My 1st cage out of 2" DOM and kept the doors but you have to be real precise on your bends. and either notch the side of you dash just a hair OR just slam the door it puts a small dimple at the top where you rm lays but it will fit and 1-3/4" fits betewwn there just fine with no prblems.. not picn just clarifying the only reason you cant go larger tubing is to clear the targa Bar..
in this pic the tube running in between the dash and door is 2"

this pic is a litle dark but you get the idea can be done but not recommended for someone who has never bent a tub before I can be done but its a pain in the ass
