Winch Bumper/Plate for Sidekick

Does anyone have any plans or dwgs (pdf, CAD, back of cigarette package sketch) or good photos of a winch bar/plate for a 93 sidekick/tracker? Trying to figure out how to fit something to the frame. I'm looking at retaining the stock bumper cover, though I'd change the bumper if required. Maybe like a Reese front mount receiver or Wheeler's samurai bumper. 8K-9K winch.

Re: Winch Bumper/Plate for Sidekick

I'm running the Calmini winch bumper on my Tracker:

No matter what you do, the stock bumper bolts seem weak to me. Especially when you consider that you'll be subjecting great amounts of load to them when winching. They're fine for holding that stock bumper and bumper cover, but when adding 80lbs of steel plus a winch I think something stronger is needed.

Calmini uses a 3rd plate that goes under the radiator and mounts to the front cross tube with a couple of U bolts. This bolts to the bumper with 4 large bolts. This helps spread the load to more than just the 4 bumper bolts.

The stock bumper mountings are very weak for a winch bumper. When I had my bumper made I had new mounts welded to the frame. They may look a little familiar to most of you. The bumper is basically a stretched version of one the guy makes for Sammis. Have a look at the attached pic
