I am not sure, are you selling it? or trade for a newer one?

Does it look like this?

Picked this one up reasonable.

Re: \'84 SJ410 T-case

will that transfercase fit into a 2wd 92 model to make it a 4wheel drive?

any differences between the older cases and newer cases?
( the 2wd doesnt have a parking brake drum on it!)

thanks

Re: \'84 SJ410 T-case

It will fit, but the driveshafts have smaller bolt pattern.

Re: \'84 SJ410 T-case

will the rear shaft have to be shortened to compensate for the Emergency drum brake?

can I pull that drum brake and flange off, and replace it with a newer flange?

thanks

Re: \'84 SJ410 T-case

I've got a 82' SJ410 (old isn't it??). It's my daily driver and offroad car.
The rear shaft will be too long with tha emergency brake on.
I've done a 5.5SPOA from RR (adapted) and change my narrow axles to Samuraļ wider axles. The shaft fits perfectly then, the distance was OK. You can't change the flange from the gearbox, not the same diameter. (maybe redrill it but not good for centering). But I change the flange on the shaft, nearly the same size (0.1mm) and with a little running in, it's works great !!
