Re: Ebay Trouble

Scumbags have found Ebay bigtime..it's easy to rip people off and not get caught. Best is to check the feedback, get an address and telephone # and talk to the person. After my disaster I pay with postal moneyorders with signature required, figure it's gotta help. NO MORE PAYPAL.

Re: Ebay Trouble

Tons of people say they get "screwed" by Ebay but most of the problems can be sorted out easily. First of all, did you call they guy? Go here http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAP...rmationRequest and you can get the guy's name adress and phone number. Something happened where my hotmail was deleting this guy's email to me as junkmail and I never got his mail. He gave me bad feeback and said I was a loser and a deadbeat even though he never got my contact information to try to call or write me. So give the guy a call. Ebay outilnes the next steps you can take here http://pages.ebay.com/help/confidenc...ems-fraud.html

Always buy stuff from a seller that has a lot of good feedback or at least call the seller before hand to make sure you have an accurate phone number to track the guy down later. I have been buying and selling stuff on Ebay for years (using paypal) and have always come out ahead. You just have to go deep into ebay's help pages to see what steps you can take to solve problems.

Re: Ebay Trouble

not trying to diminish anyones problems, but I have done business though ebay and paypal for years (have over 200 feedbacks as buyer and seller) on all kinds of things..musical instruments, car parts, CDs, stamps and collectibles, tupperware, etc. I have never had any kind of problem with any of it, except one dolt who couldn't figure out how to get my money from their own account.

Do whatever you think is right, but I just want to dispel the notion that Ebay/Paypal are nothing but trouble. There are FAR more positive and successful transactions with Ebay and Paypal than negative ones. Just be smart, look at feedback and do whatever else you need to do to feel safe. I may get bitten someday, but I don't stay in my house because Im afraid to get hit by lightning, either.

Re: Ebay Trouble

I've never had any problem with either but one thing I find strange. Ebay will not except PayPal for payment on a transaction. Figure that one...

Re: Ebay Trouble

I also have 20+ good transactions on Ebay but last year I had a similar experience. I jumped through all the hoops with Paypal and Ebay. Paypal was a joke, no help. Ebay after 6 weeks, agreed that I was defrauded and told me to contact the Attorney General in the state the crook operated from!
I now will only buy items through Ebay if they are local and I can drive to view them.
I wish you luck in this and keep on top of it.
