Rear bumper with tire carrier.

I am wondering if anyone would be interested in this. I made a rear bumper with a swingaway tire carrier. What do you think something like this is worth? Thinking about posting it on ebay? It would include all hardware and lights. What do you think. It mounts to the frame and rear tube cross member. Here is my Ebay ad so you can read about the bumper.

Thanks

Re: Rear bumper with tire carrier.

Sure can, It is a trailer spindle welded on the bumper. I made up a custom hub and used trailer tapered bearings to cinch it all together. Put a grease nipple on the side and a seal in the bottom and there you go, a no rattle hinge. Hope that made sense.

Re: Rear bumper with tire carrier.

Did you build the bumper or the tire carrier or both ?
Cause it looks just like the one RRO sells.

Re: Rear bumper with tire carrier.

it does not look like RRO's bumper or carrier.
only the light front cutouts are the same.

their bumper has tapered ends by the last light on the bottom,
and their tire carrier does not use a hinge like that one.

unless things have changed since NC_Zuke bought his stuff from them.

Re: Rear bumper with tire carrier.

I did build the bumper and tire carrier. Never even looked at RRO until I was done. The ebay ad you are reading is not the ad that I am selling with a tire carrier. If you re-read my fist post you can see that I am looking for opinions on it. I think the RRO bumpers are good but from my understanding it only mounts to the frame. Am I correct on that?? Mine mounts to the frame and the rear tube cross member. I think the price is better too!!!

Re: Rear bumper with tire carrier.

Rich.........look @ picture I posted of RRO RockCrawler 2 rear bumper.....ends are NOT tapered. No idea what their tire carrier looks like.

It's a nice bumper......damn shipping from Canada would cost me as much as the bumper.....

That must be a "universal" light pattern...think "shrock" has lights like that also.

Re: Rear bumper with tire carrier.

Hi Alan,

Looking at the picture you posted, I have included the picture portion I was talking about, it is the underside of the bumper just past the last light.

hopefully the picture I am posting shows what I am talking about.
