tires and wheels

Thanks! Those are 32x11.50-15 Swamper SX's on 15x8" American Racing type 676 black spokes. I added a 1/4" spacer behind each wheel to help with rubbing on the front springs, still rub a little when aired way down. The tires are not a true 32 inches tall, more like 31" when they were new.

Re: tires and wheels

Hey CSR, You've gotten my curiousity up again. How about some info on the cage and the rear bumper. Thanks.

cage and bumper

The cage:

The front hoop and two of the connector bars are from the Dave LaTourette add-on kit that Glenn sells. That's the original roll bar with the kicker legs removed. The rear part is a Chris Robbins design, bent with my $100 pipe bender from Northern Tool. All made from 1.5" pipe with .120 wall.

Bumpers:

I made those from 2x4" steel, 3/16" thick. Rear is tied into the original tow bar holes and the two rear body mounts.

Re: cage and bumper

Hey CSR, is the add-on cage kit from RRO bolt on or does it require welding. If I bought the front part maybe you would consider helping out with the back part. If you are interested I could send you a private e-mail. Maybe some others would be interested in your design.

Re: cage and bumper

The Davesport add-on is a weld-in kit. The front hoop is mandrel bent and fits great. The kit comes with two front hoop to main hoop connector bars, floor plates and backing plates. The bar over the dash is already welded in. I added another front to main connector to mine for more protection and to keep my bikini top from sagging in the middle. Send an e-mail to the address below if you want and we can take this off of the board.
