Electrical upgrade
I just bought a Remsey rep 8000 lb. winch, and I was wondering if I need to upgrade to the bigger altenator or run 2 batteries? These are both easy things to do so it's not really a big deal if it is necessary. Thanks in advance for any imput...

Re: Electrical upgrade
I don't have my own winch, but I think it would be a good idea to have a better alt. than stock. Stocker only pumps out like 40amps, GM als with 100 or more amps can be swapped in and I would think that should do.

Yes you should run two batterys. My favorites to run are group 24 deep cycles. And run at LEAST 2 guage cables
