*Cheap* replacement exhaust

Hey,
Does anyone know where I can get a complete exhaust system replacement for my 88.5 Samurai? The emphasis is on cheap, I don't really care about anything else (I suppose it has to have a catalytic converter). I live in MA.. haven't yet started calling around to Midas and the like, but my current exhaust has basically rotted right off.

Re: *Cheap* replacement exhaust

Most likely the cheapest way to go is to order a better flowing muffler for fairly cheap(any catalog or performance car shop, maybe offroading shops too). I've seen some summit high flow mufflers for 40 bucks. Once you get it, stop by some local exhaust shops and see how much they will charge you for a 2 inch exhaust system.
I Calmini sells 2 inch exhaust systems, header back and catback, not sure on the price though and I have heard that they hang kinda low for most people that offroad.
I think going to a local exhaust shop would be your best bet.
Good Luck

Re: *Cheap* replacement exhaust

Even after you buy your new muffler and cat from some parts dealer need the asistance of a muffler shop. You can spend hours trying to figure which adapter and clamp to puchase when the shop uses a very expensive machine to expand or bend some scrap tubing. They then will tig weld it for a long lasting fix.
I now have to replace my van's muffler. The installed price from a muffler shop is less than a muffler from parts store. I have the welding equipment but will let them install it.

Don't take my word make some calls for prices.
