Widening your stance?

Whats the best way, wider wheels? Spacers> I seen someone with black wheels that looked like they stick out real well and gave it a nice fat stance. ZOOK 94 I think?

Re: Widening your stance?

Well spacer are one ways to do it but i hear it's hard on the lug nuts off-road. The other is get off-road rims with offset. I forget the name it's called for the inward and outwards offset.

Re: Widening your stance?

on stock zuk axles try a 10 inch rim with 2 inch backspacing. those will really widen your stance out without using those expensive wheel spacers.

dana 44s from a full size will widen ya out too

Re: Widening your stance?

i have custom 2.75" backspaced wheels from spidertrax. the cost about $50 each and widened the stance quite a bit when compared to stock. Be prepared for the samurai death wobble if your front end and steering are not in tip top shape because the wheels put more stress on axles and steering since they stick out further.

87Ronin,

I got my wheels from Bush Hog Racing. They are 15x8 with a 2 inch backspace. They are Bart Racing wheels and are 38 bucks each.

Re: Widening your stance?

I wouldn't use wheel spacers.
Too many horror stories of a lost wheel.

I think there is even a Kenny Rogers song about it:
"...You picked a fine to leave me loose wheel"

(your probably too young to remember that song)

Re: Widening your stance?

howdy,
wheel spacers are good to use on your spare tyre holded to move it away from the tail gate some more. alot of people have had problems with the studs stripen out on the spacer.

get some bs rims.
