body lift how to

ok here's my question
i had someone make me some 1 inch tall body lift pucks out of derlin(or whatever it's called). if i decide to use these to lift my sammi, how do i put longer body mount bolts in since the boddy is apperently mounted with studs and no way to get at the tops of them?

Re: body lift how to

find the bolts by drilling about 1" holes in the body (front and mid left&right), the mid ones are visible.

drill them out. thats a little work but you can fit any body-lift hight you want once the old bolts are drilled...

hmm... if you only want 1" - you could fit the existing bolts by just cutting the bushings a bit.

Re: body lift how to

I estimated where the stock bolts were in the body. cut an H in the floor in those areas that way the metal could be pealed back and rewelded shut. I drilled out the sock bolts and instlled new bolts tackwelding the heads. you only have to find the 2 outer in the tub front and rear 2 are already visable
the 2 very front are accesible behind the grill ante the rear are in the tailgate opening

Re: body lift how to

for one inch can't he just relace the worn center rubber with the new ones he made and catch the last of the threads on the stock body bolts ? it works for 3/4 of an inch.
