ZIMZUKI did. He showed a picture in a post not too long ago. The post was made by me, and the title was something about CBs. Sorry I can't be more helpful, the search function is still down.

Re: Anyone made there own dash ??

i don't remember who it is, but the dude that makes almost every piece that you can unbolt from a samurai out of aluminum dimond plate and sells it on ebay made his own dash(guess what he made it out of). it looked good, but since i have a 79 camaro with a trans am turned metal dash, i have an idea of what it would be like driving it on a sunny day, especially with the top down. my $.02-have him make you a dash and get it powder coated something less shiny. it does look real cool though

I'm in the process of building one out of stainless. Only going to have guages and a tachometer, piss on the rest of it. I am going to tie it into the roll cage in front.

I was going to make my own dash, but wanted to keep the stock one in until I can get the P-works dash. Last time I talked to Gary, he told me that it was going to be done back in July 02. Now its Jan 03 and still no word, I told him that I would love to be one of the 1st to get one, he said it would be around $150 for it too. Not too bad? I have no problems with mine now, just something that I would like to do later down the road.

This is something I would really love to do.

Any words on aftermarket ones? Shouldn't be too hard to put something together, right?

Re: Anyone made there own dash ??

Last time I was at Petroworks, Gary had the new dash installed in his rig.... said that they'd be out around the end of the year or so... but to my recollection.. they were way too expensive. I'll call them up and get back to yall on this. BTW, it looked really good on his rig.

Re: Anyone made there own dash ??

Cut up a chunk of 16 gauge steel to fit about how I wanted it. Made some marks down the backside with a sharpie.. hit it with the grinder to give it a line to bend on.. and viola. Throw on a little paint and it's very sweet. Not only that but beer cans fit between the top of the dash and my roll cage dash-bar PERFECTLY! Just getting to the point in the buildup that I'm putting gauges and crap in the dash now.. I'll get some more pix up soon.
