turnbuckle alternator tentioner

for those who copyed what i did here is what i found out today after a couple weeks of belt squeeling i decided to tighten it only to find that the left hand side has striped it held good for probably over a year but my belt alignment is off ever so slightly and causing my alt to vibrate at high rpms so this may have also led to the failure the main sleeve of the turnbuckle is aluminum it is still holding on the right hand side so i just turned it out more i am using a 3/8 turnbuckle so if you decided to go smaller you are peobably at a little more risk i think when i redo it i will look for a right and left hand jam nut so the turnbuckle itself will only act as a spacer / locknut here is a pix for those who dont have a clue what i am talking about and come acrost this for the first time
