Re: oh no not again!!

Does this thing have an internal or external regulator? also check your battery for a dead cell.

Re: oh no not again!!

Sounds like you may have bad ground syndrone.. Replace the ground strap with a #10 guage strap between the distributor housing and the firewall. Get another ground on that battery and make sure the starter cable ground is in PERFECT condition, replace if needed.

Re: oh no not again!!

i found problem i think i soldered all crimp on connectors
battery cables i had already replaced all my grounds, found the alt belt was a tab loose tightened it up, and it bumped up to 13 volts idling 12 volts with headlights on, so out of desperation i removed the brand new battery and put in old one i had laying around that i use with my trolling motor, cleaned up the post and connected everything, and 14 volts idling, 14 volts with headlights on 14 volts with everything on, so either my brand new battery that was just tested yesterday as being good, is fooling us, or my new alternater is intermitting, its been running with everything on for quite awhile now and still holding its
own,
i was about to run 10 guage wire from alt to batt but wasnt sure if i should but thats something ill remember

thanks

Re: oh no not again!!

after running it all day with no voltage drops, it droped half way to workso i had wife charge up a battery and bring to me and after work i put charged battery in and it still showed just 12 volts, then my brake fuse popped and everything went back to normal, so im assuming my problem may be in that area what do you guys think? oh i am going to run the jumper from alt to battery just for kicks
